Matcha Latte [Aeroccino Hack]

Matcha Latte Hack

How many of you absolutely love the bitter (yet sweet) and rich (yet delicate) taste of Matcha? Like you, I absolutely love the deep and vibrant colour of this luscious green tea. I treat matcha lattes as a special treat and only indulge myself to one every now and then from an overpriced cafe – mostly when I am too stressed at work. The only reason why I get this so sparingly is because of how costly this latte can get (Starbucks charges almost $6.00 CAD – what the… ?!)

So, why didn’t I just try making it myself? Well, huge reason for that is because I couldn’t justify spending $30.00 for about 100mg to 200mg of Matcha powder. I couldn’t get myself to indulge in such a luxury. However, lucky for me, my good friend V recently returned from an amazing trip to Japan – where she stocked up on jars and jars of this. I was blessed to be the recipient of one of these gems.

Determined to try and remake the Matcha Latte in my own home, I tried so many different ways to make the perfect cup. And too many times – I failed. But then … this hack! I am beyond excited to learn about this hack (thanks to my friend V – again!!! She probably loves Matcha more than me). It was much simpler than trying to boil or froth milk on its own, then pouring it into the matcha powder. Honestly, this hack is absolute perfection. It produces such a light and flavourful Matcha Latte.

I urge anyone with a Nespresso Aerccino Frother to try this hack. I swear you will never order another $6.00 Matcha Latte again!

Frother using the "warm" setting"

Simple as that!
